584 brake problem

i have a ihc model 584 that the brake pedal on rh side goes to floor.had it repaired last spring at case ih dealer now problem is back.any help will be welcome. tnx
 
Needs a new o ring somewhere in the system. That is the weak link on those and most folks have problems fixing them. Most likely the axle housing will have to come off to fix the right one. Go to CaseIH.com and they have schematics there that will show you what I am talking about. In the short term you can probably just bleed it and get brakes back temporarily.
 
Hi, the usuall problem is leaky "O" rings in the brake pistons which requires pulling the axle housing to access the brake mechanism. Do some simple checks first:
Check hydraulic fluid lever and replace hydraulic filter.
Check for hydraulic fluid leaks from the brake hydraulic line that starts under the battery box along the top of the transmission case to under the seat. You can bleed the brake by loosening the bleed screw over the axle.
Bleeding brakes requires a clean bucket and some plastic tubing that will fit over the end of the bleed screw.
Bleed procedure:
1)Run tractor until hydraulic oil is at operating temp.
2)Run engine at fast idle 1300-1400RPM.
3)Connect plastic tube to bleed screw, loosen bleed screw and let hydraulic fluid flow until it is air bubble free.
4)Close bleed screw and top up hydraulic fluid level.

Some hints:
Never pump the brakes without engine running.
If tractor is not used frequently then start engine and let it run.

tractor sat all winter will try bleeding brakes.
didn"t let it come up to temp before using it.
 
i bet that is all dealer did was bleed the brakes.
they were to repair no cost.i will bleed brakes and see how it goes.sat all winter didn,t get enough snow to use it.took it out cold and noticed brake pedal was down.tnx for help.
