Hydraulics on 47 H

I'm looking at a 47 H with a 31 loader. The plumbing looks home-made but well done. In a few places it oozes fluid and it looks like it's got water in it. I hope a kind soul out there will take pity on me and let me know 1)where you check the fluid level, 2) where do you put in the fluid, 3) where do you drain out the fluid, 4) what IS the fluid and 5) how much fluid does it take from empty to be full?

Thanks!

There should be a lever on the right side below the gas tank on the bell housing with a rod going to the lite bar on the right side that controls the hy system. The pipe raising up above the lever is where the fluid is added and checked. When new just 30wt oil was used or any hy oil nothing special so you dont need the new high priced hy fluids just any 30wt will be fine. When removing the cap on that stand-pipe there was a didstick but its probably gone now. The system is what we call a one-way so there is noo down pressure without making some changes. Pulling back will raise the loader and then pushing the lever forward will lower the loader. Good luck they are a handy tractor and loader not built for heavy duty keep the load under 300 or so lbs and it will steer an work fine.

1. There is a pipe sticking out of the top of the torque tube on the right side with a cap on it. Take the cap of and underneath it there should be a washer with a wire sticking through it, pickup the washer and pull it and the wire out, that is the dipstick.
2. Put fluid in the same hole you took the dipstick out of.
3 There is a plug on the bottom of the belly pump (I think on the left side, not for sure).
4. Operators manual calls for SAE 30 wt non-detergent but can also use other brands of hydraulic fluid and won't hurt a thing.
5. 6 qts. to fill pump when empty.

No! With the 31 loader installed, that cap is replaced with a pipe tee for the hoses from the top of the cylinders. There will also NOT be a dipstick in the fill tube for obvious reasons.

ok, with the raising and lowering as u described, it poses a question to me. on the right side, I have a 90 that is capped. One the left side, at the front piping, I have a hydraulic coupling & back has another 90 that is capped. How would I hook this up an implement? Which is pressure & return?
