Need Farmall A geberator belt Dimensions

I am converting my 1940 A from hand start to electric start and I need the Generator belt dimensions. My local IH dealer didn't have any in stock and could not tell me the size.
does anyone know it so I can go to the local TSC or hardware to get my gen belt?

Run a rope around it and mark and measure it. The width is right there, the pulley. Get one that fits down in it well.

If you are using the stock pulleys on the fan and gen 17250 will work the belt being 17/32 wide and 26.50 long This is the size i use on all my As and Bs.

Chad,If your belt wraps around 3 sheaves,measure the distance center to center between each sheave,then measure the dia.of each sheave and multiply it by 3.14,and divide each measurment by 1/3.Add each sheave measurment plus your 3 centerline measurments and your total should be your belt size.
