My 39 M is out of clutch. I need to verify that I can change all of the clutch parts without splitting the tractor. Is this correct? Will I need any special tools to pull this off if it is possible? Thanks

The flywheel cannot be removed ll other parts are easily done through the bottom. If the flywheel is checked or scored badly, splitting is the only option. JimN

I helped a preacher do it once. The biggest challenge was trying not to swear things apart. You might bust a knuckle or two, but it can be done without splitting or any special tools.

we always split them, getting really good at it too, did one a few years ago during hay season, from tear down to back in the feild was just over 3 hours, everything went perfect,,cant expect that every time though,,JMHO....JIm
