piston clearance

are there any clearance problems to worry about with stepped head pistons and 8043 head im rebuilding an h for my son and was going put stepped head pistons back in instead of flat tops.

No. The combustion chambers arepretty open. If the head was milled .100" it might be worth a check, but not unless. JimN

Jim you can even stuff the high alt. pistons in there and still have room for the cat.

m+w made pistons that had a inch high dome for useing propane. so like everyone else told you the quarter inch stephead pistons won't cause any problem.
