I'm takin the radiator off my H, I have all bolts off the radiator and the top and bottom hose loose. Do I have to take the fan and/or the pump off, or am I missin' a trick?

Radiator is bolted to the front bolster with stud bolts in the bottom. They are not easy to get to. If they are original, the studs will have castle nuts with cotter pins. Sometimes the studs will screw out of the radiator and you don't have to get the cotter pins out. Also, you have to remove the steering shaft which goes through the top tank of the radiator. You uncouple the shaft at the universal joint (which can be a challenge if never done before). First though remove the big plug in front of the steering box. When you get the joint in the shaft loose, the shaft will screw out thought the hole in the front of the steering box.
No need to remove the fan or water pump to take the radiator off.

Thank you very much for the info..... I was lucky on the two bottom bolts, I got them off. Now I have gotten the steering shaft off, but I cant get the radiator far enough forward to get it to slide it out the side. Steering tower in front...fan in the back. The shroud is loose with the bolts out.... but THAT is the problem. The shroud wont clear the fan and I cant take the radiator to the side because I cant get the shroud unattached even though its loose. ???

Radiator goes straight up, shroud stays down around fan at least until you get radiator up most of the way. .

If you've got the four bolts out around the shroud, it should come completely loose from the radiator. You should be able to set it back and hang it over the water pump pulley. The radiator should then come straight up whether you removed the drain pipe or not.

Oh, have you removed the brace that runs back to the center steering shaft support?

I'm going back down to the barn this morning to work on it somemore. I believe that brace you are talking about might be the culprut holding me up. Thanks for all your help.

I would like to thank each and every one who took time yo give me advice. I got it off and now I'm ready to head to the radiator shop!! Thanks again
