Questions about F-20

I have just bought a Duckbill F-20. First, the serial number is FA1898. Most of the info I looked up, it is supposed to be a "33. But, I read in one place that they didn"t make F-20s in 1933, and it should be a 1932. Second, The correct color for this tractor should be dark gray, or "battleship gray". Can anyone give me a color code from NAPA or IH. And finally, Can someone tell me what a Fairway F-20 is?? Thank you to all that reply. You guys are very dedicated to your hobbies. Thanks again, Brian

You are right. There was no production during the entire year of 1933. I'd say it should be a dark gray but all the old guys are dead and nobody knows for sure. Paint formulation was much more primitive then and if new tractors sat in outside storage for more than a month or two they had to be repainted. A Fairway is a narrow tread tractor.

A Fairway is a Narrow Tread, but a Narrow Tread is not necessarily a Fairway. A real Fairway has the really wide special wheels front and rear, very few of them around.

Have no info at hand to prove this, but I THINK
the Fairway was meant for work on golf courses and similar places. Believe it had little round spikes instead of lugs. Will see if I can find something, maybe in a parts book.
