Purchased an 1935 F12 and the AC fuel pump has a lever shaped almost like the bail on the sediment bowl around the housing for the diaphragm for priming. Haven"t seen this on any other F12 and it is not in the parts manual. Not sure if it is an aftermarket add on or it was developed for for another vehicle and the owner thought it would be a great idea. Has anyone else seen one of these and what was it originally used for?

Any fuel pump supplied on governement equipment during WWII had to have a priming lever. Some of the AC fuel pumps fit on other equipment with just the actuating lever just being different. I have two pumps that have a rod rather than a bail wire to prime the pump--they work great!
