International 606, fire crater piston

I have an International 606, C221 gas tractor that I am rebuilding. I am trying to determine if the pistons are fire crater pistons. The piston part no. is 378602-R4 and the bore is 3 and 9/16

if they have a dome to them, they are firecrater in type. I don't believe the name "firecrater" was used in marketing those engines or parts by that time in IH land.

I think the 606 came with the crater type piston. All 221 engines had a dome but the non fire crater type as in a 460 were a flat topped dome, where as the fire crater has a swirl pocket in the dome. Parts manual does not specify fire crater , however the picture does indicate that compared to the pictuare of the earlier engines.

That # is a standard piston for standard altitude.
