766 seat replacement

Hey fella's just wondering what your thuoghts are on a good replacement seat for my 766. I see tractor supply has what looks like a factory seat for around $130 but are they worth a tink??
I appreciate you thoughts!

The seat TSC carries is most likely from Iowa Export. These are cheap CHINA made seats. The metal guage used is very thin and they tend to rust out fast and the vinyl rips easily.

Spend a few $$$ more and get an AMERICAN made seat from K&M. Heavier gauge steel and better grade vinyl are used. AND.....they are hand made here in the USA. They are online. Click the link.

I have a new seat for a 966. Is that the same?
Don't have the back rest tho. Will sell the seat for $50.

I paid about that for the parts for mine. Bought it off the net somewhere. I'm a pretty slim guy and the backrest is already pushed way back. I'm going to have to weld up bracing to tie the seat back into the arm rests before spring. Next time I'd be tempted to go with a non-original looking seat that was all one piece (if they can be adapted easily.)
 
I have purchased two of the cheaper International seats. They are imports. They look like originals in shape. The colors are off I believe as the seat bottom is dark. I think they work just fine and are a good value. At $130 maybe you should go with American made. Tractor Supply and other farm stores do get the $130. There is a place on the internet selling the same box with 3 pieces for $70 or $80. Maybe slightly higher now. Now that is a deal. I actually drove there and picked it up. Moscow, Iowa. I believe the place was Iowa Equipment. Nice people to work with.
