I am trying to pull the left rear hub off of the axle and am having difficulty. I have heated and made a one-off puller to try an get it off, but am unsuccessful. The tractor is just a carcass right now and I am wanting to replace the axle seal prior to prep for paint.

The splines of the axle and hub have worn into each other and I think this is the problem. I wan thinking about anchoring the tractor with a fork lift and pulling the hub with another tractor while heating. This is pretty extreme and I don"t want to do this.

I also though about cutting the hub off of the axle and finding a replacement...not that torching cast is a fun alternative either.

Any suggestions on the hub removal or sourcing a new hub would be appreciated.

I had to remove the cneter off my 560W and couldnt get it to budge. Ended up using a big T puller and 3/4" air driven impact while my friend was heating the center around the axle and pounding on it with a 8lb mallet. Took a few hours but eventually came off.
