Farmall A gas tank

Is there anyone out there making new tanks for these old farmalls? Mine has small seaping leaks around the bottom mounts. If not I guess I'll look for a used one or check out getting it lined.

No new ones I know of unless you find one at a old IH dealer. but a good used one should not be to hard to find. I might have one.

Mine did that I cut the bottom out around the mount with a sabre saw, welded the crack in the spot weld & welded the bottom back in.
Doesn't leak now.

Thanks for the replies, I don't have the tank off the tractor yet so I don't know just how bad it is. I'll get to it sometime this spring as the tractor is spare mower.

Thanks, Adrian

My "A" had a leak and opt to use an etch cleaner and gas tank sealer, was just pin hole leaks.
It did the job..no leaks and cleaned the rust out of the inside of tank.
You can get it for about $30.00 at "The Shop" www.theshopproducts.com..phone 805-238-7054.
I saw it in Red power Magzine.
Another place is "Classic Gas Tanks" $55-$85 dollars they repair tanks and add liners,

used RED COTE on a 100 tank. Turned out great, and had enough left over to coat my 1984 Honda 100 ATV tank that needed attention for years. Did a great job on it also.
