300 Hydraulic question

I took my Saginaw 3 point off of my 44H and put on my 300 today, and I am not sure I got the hydraulic lines right. The hitch has 2 way cylinders but I am only hooking up for one way at the moment. (as it was on the H). I used the remotes at the back of the tractor and hooked one line to each with a breather on the cylinders.
The control switch on the valves is turned to the one-way position.
The hitch is working but I am questioning if it is correct.
Am I running on only ONE cylinder?
Should have used a ’T’ and put a plug in the other line, and if so which of the two lines is pressurized?

thanks
ken

It is not correct. The cylinders need to be connected to only one valve with a T to go to each. At these pressures and flows there is no need at all to have equal hose leength from the T to each cylinder. Using only one valve is correct. JimN

If you hook both 3pt cylinder hoses, to the two ports on the back, that are hooked to one valve, it will not work.

Hooked that way when you pull the lever one cylinder will lift. When the lever is pushed the other way the other cylinder will lift.

Tee them together and hook to one side of the valve as Janicholson said.

Thanks for the replies..
Before I installed the 'T' I disconnected one cylinder, and sure enough only one was moving.
I should have thought of that one myself..
Anyway I installed a 'T' and it works goood..

Thanks again
