McCormick Super WDR-9

How would I go about restoring a McCormick Super WDR-9's engine? I know the super series had larger engines so were they much different from the regular series engines? Is a diesel a difficult engine to restore?

Not much more difficult than a gas, but very expensive.

I've got a really nice restored wdr9 I would sell if that would interest you it runs good. I've heard of 1000 dollars a cyclinder to rebuild.

I would imagine that they're no cheaper than an MD (and likely more) in which case to do it all you could be looking at $7500 or so just for the engine. I'm already almost $2000 CDN into the head for mine. Sam

Main bearings are hard to come by... and if they are found your looking at 500 plus or so... Best to find a good engine or get the tractor really cheap
