this is my first post back here after a long stay off at other forums. these are my farmalls that i thought you would like to see.

my 1948 farmall c(serial number 2596, made approx jan 10 of 1948 )

thanks andy. that '48 C is finaly startng to get attention(carb put back on and some gas added with hand cranking, only a good backfire resulted) :wink:
 
There isnt any way you can tell which day your tractor was built. The cast codes are the day the part was cast at the foundry not when it was built.There is no record of when tractors of that period were built. Proof of sale from dealer would be on some sort of record at that dealer.
 

a back fire is better than nothing, and i'm not going to name any names but i think it is better than a AC we know of :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi gene bender: I wondered the same about my 1948 C. I believe the B was built into 1948.. untill about March or so I read a few years ago. My C is the 584 built and using a little math and total units built that year, I'll guess about the 10 day of production. I guess the archives in Wisc would be best to firm up this guess. You have any firm info? Thanks. ag
