I have a question, is it ok to run 2 different tread, but same size rear tire on a tractor, both are goodyear radial. Both the same width 18.4 just different tread

Tread pattern makes NO difference...even the variation in sidewall height from different manufacturers won't cause a problem if they are the same size.

wi: I wouldn't go so far as to say tread pattern will make no difference. For the most part, Pete is probably correct.

I've used a lot of different tractor tires in my lifetime. Yes, definitely some tread patterns give better traction than others. Unless you can present us with a combination someone has used, I see no other option for you than, TRY IT OUT.

wi: There are also a lot of different soil conditions around the world, and differenet tire treads have been designed to suit those conditions.

For better or worse, farmers have been running two different tires on tractors since tractors have had rubber tires.

One tire will get damaged, money is tight, so only one tire gets changed. 10 years later the other tire wears out, money is tight, so only that tire gets changed.... and so on and so forth...

Only "correct police" will tell you that you need to have the same tires on both sides.
