-9 Series Tractors

How many -9 series tractors were shipped to Canada? That includes all provinces. I also have another question. Does anyone know where all the casting codes on a W-9 are?

HI,you might want to look through the IH arcives,or the Wisconcin horstical soceity,Im no expert on w9 but they are my favorite looking tractor.I doubt if you will find how many numbers that were shipped to Cananda. As far as casting numbers you might research parts manuals.

C'mon Wardner, go easy. We all started someplace, at least he's interested enough to ask. As a fan of the big ol' standards(like I know you are too), I personally find it refreshing to see some talk about 'em on here.

There was a lot of WD9's in SW Manitoba...at one time. Many are sitting in the bush or in scrap yards because they're kind of pricey to restore and also a bit heavy to haul around to shows. That said, I am on the lookout for a W9 (gas) to complete my collection. As I recall, the clutch on a 9 was a bit much for a skinny 11 year old farm boy. BTW, the W9 in that photo is the first time I ever saw duals on one.

I have a 650D that I use occasionaly, and recently acquired a W-9 that"s gonna need some work(stuck engine, needs new exhaust manifold) but it"s pretty complete and has both inner and outer wheel weights, which I hadn"t seen before.

I do like the 9 series, but I"m also still on the lookout for a good M to use as well.
