Hi Mr. D Slater I am trying to reverse a MD that was a cotton picker can you tell me what parts I need, or better yet where to find them Thanks Pete
 
If have the one with drop boxes and you want tractor to go the same direction as a normal MD and it goes the other way now, you can remove the drop boxes on axles and install the wheels on axle. If you want to keep the drop boxes, the differential needs turned to other side of pinion gear. Think you need a transmission cover and shift forks that moves shifter and shift rails to other side for last. Can't help with the parts. Jim Becker or Harold H that post here are from the part of country tractors were used in I think. Maybe they could help.
 
Case IH online parts catalog has good drawings of parts needed....Farmall M ....Chassis....Reverse Operation Attachment. Have seen posts in past by someone that claimed to know where parts could be found, might search archives for cotton picker.
 
Tried to go to case ih online parts but was not able to, not very good on computor. Also how do you get to archives? Thanks Pete
 
The easyest way to get to catalog (at least for me) is to do a Google Search for...Case IH parts catalog....click on search for parts....click on right here at left of page....enter Farmall M in search box and click search.
 
For IH parts blowups and listings,

caseih.com and then North America and English
At the top, find the drop down for parts
In the next window, click on the parts search link down below- this will open up a new window.
Type MD or Farmall MD into the search field

That will open up an assortment of folders leading to different sytems on the tractor.

For YT archives, start in the forum you want to search in and put your search description in the open field. Sometimes it will search in another field on the first try, so you may have to try it again, using the dropdown menu to get your search narrowed to the right forum.
