-9 Series Heads

How do I keep my WR-9's head from cracking? I have heard about the W-9's heads. Does that also apply to all the-9 series tractors?

two things that are bad for any head is overheating and rapid cooling. watch the temp gauge, and before you shut er down let it idle a while to cool off after working it hard. i have a w-9 and have never had any head problems.

Most of the cracked heads were on the diesels and were caused by running it hard and shutting it off fast withour letting it cool down. Cracking is not a problem if you let it cool down properly.
