F14 starting problem resolved!!

Received my rebuilt mag today. Put it on, and presto, she fired right off. So quick in fact it almost scared me.

The first supposed rebuilt mag I had did in deed have a broken piece in the impulse. Needless to say I returned it.

This one I got from Belanger's (mainley magnetos), and I must say I am very impressed. It looks as though it came right off the shelf at the local IH dealer.

I also resolved the flooding problem.

I had initially set the fuel level per the manual, 25/32's or something close to that, which is about 3/4. I lowered the float, dropped the fuel level almost 1/4" and it starts and runs great.

I've gotten a few small parts from Steve & Debbie and have been impressed with the service. Good to hear other folks are pleased too.
 
I learned alot from others trials.

I think I can honestly say I am now an expert at timing an F14, and I know considerably more about magnetos than I ever wanted too.
