Rice Field Specials

The best i can suggest (Minnesotan) is to search in the search for box for those numbers. There are many entries!! Others will chime in, but it will be beyond a start. JimN

These are most of the differences. WR had different fenders with flat curved tops and different platform vs clam type fenders on W. WR had hand clutch standard vs foot clutch standard on W with hand clutch optional on W. WR had foot decellerator standard. WR steel wheels 54 x 12 rear with 6" lugs and mud scrapers, 34 x 6 front. W steel wheels 48 x 12 rear with 5" lugs, 30 x 6 front. On rubber WR 18 x 26 (23.1 x 26) R2 R&C rear, 7.50 x 18 F1 single rib front. W 14 x 34 (16.9 x 34) rear R1 and 750 x 18 F3 tri rib front. Other size tires optional on both as were wheel extensions on steel wheels. There were a few other minor differences but these are major differences.

You also asked about the WR-9S. There were no Super W-9 gas tractors. Lots of rice farmers still used gas so IHC brought out the WR-9S which had all of the super features such as disc brakes and improved hydraulics, but still used the 334.5 cu in gas engine that had been used in the W-9 and WR-9.

Except for the WR-9S which had it's own serial number series, all of the other Rice tractors used the same serial number series as the regular W, WD, and Super WD series tractors so there is no way to know how many were built, as far as I know.
