Seat shock absorber

My MTA didn't have the battery box seat mount on it when I got it, but came with one. I started gettin ready to put it on, and noticed the shock was shot. When I started looking around. The ones available seem to be like 7.25 to 9.25 C to C. The one I have measures about 6 to 8 C to C. Is the one I have the wrong one, or were there diferent ones available? Whats a good source for one?

Bear with he here a minute while I look for the catalog...can't remember the name, yellow catalog, has shocks, bolts and grommet bushings for each model, I'll go look.
