Ihave never seen chains on a tractor before. The chains on the super C? In fact, I have not seen them on cars for 30 years in my part of the country. Saw then when I was a younger kid.

this is the first year in memory that we haven't had chains on anything. usually, there are chains on both 656 hydros for loading and feeding, the 560 for the feed grinder, the 784 for snowplowing, and sometimes the 966 on the spreader. i have chains for the 3010 if i need them, to move round bales to the feeders.
that super h looks sharp. what paint did you use, pete?

Man that pic of the Super C brings back memories... spent half the time in my high school years driving one of them... fast hitch, front wheel weights, front hitch on the bolster, everything looks the same except we only had one set of weights on the rear. We also had a couple of JD 60s... is that a 60 or 70 behind it? I know this is the IH forum, but those 60s were great tractors.

It is a 70...one of my favorites that we have, but pound for pound the Super C is the toughest and handiest we have...most fun a div I pulls too, competitive in more weight classes than any of our others; the only thing that makes it tuck it's tail in the #4500 and #5000 classes is an Oliver Super 66 (that is if all the Div I rules are followed.)

Pete76NY, nice work. I am hoping to get on my 504 this spring. Did you use stainless bolts and nuts on your wheels? I use stainless on some items I do not want to paint, like dash screws, headlights, ect.
