Does anyone have a good solution about breaking the bead on a tire from a rim that is rusted. The tire is froze to the rim. Tryed PB Blaster and has not worked yet. Thanks for you help.

Any type of oil will just make things worse. Oil soften up the rubber so it then in turn sticks harder. You need soap dish sop work well and lots of it.

I use a 2x6 and lay the tire down. Put the 2x 6 on the tire near rim and drive up onto the 2x6 with your truck. It may take a little fussing and relocating but it seems to work for me.

Locate the tire/rim under a very heavy vehicle, or structure. Put a floor jack under the tire pushing up on the bead and lift. Be careful not to break the structure, or get dangerous. This places the forces in the least dangerous position (opinion) JimN

My uncle used to lay the tire/rim flat on the ground, then back up his tractor and drive the rear wheel on top of the tire and tangent to the rim. It worked every time I saw him do it.

Old is right not to use petroleum products on rubber. After you have tried all the other suggestions then as a last resort (unless you just take it to a professional, I"d charge you $25 to break the bead) you can with the tire laying flat on the ground pour diesel around the bead and let it soak. Most of the time it will soak through and break it loose. The problem is that if you don"t get it loose you have a bigger problem. If that doesn"t soak through then you can light the diesel and let the heat soften the rubber. Put it out before the tire catches fire. Of course did I mention you can take it to the tire guy and watch him do it.
