Super C and H question.

Hi, I need a motor for my super c. mine is no good at all. Will a Stationary 123 fit on my bell housing?. I think its a 123. Serial #64H1A11402. Is there something with the starter?

Next, will a T/A off a 300 fit on a super H?
Thanks for your comments.

Mike

First off your C-123 will likely fit although that doesn't seem like a serial number for one. You'll very likely need to swap flywheels as the power unit probably doesn't have provision for a pilot bearing. Also check out the hydraulic pump drive and water pump? I imagine you'll be able to swap them off your current engine though. In order to install the TA from a 300 you'll have to swap more or less the entire back end if you want the live PTO as well. If you just want the TA you might get away with just the central housing (someone else will have to verify that).

By any chance are you in Nova Scotia?

Hope that helped, Sam

Not sure what that serial number represents.

As far as a stationary or combine engine, I believe it should bolt up to the bell. Bigger questions would involve whether it had provisions for the hydraulic pump to run your Touch Control. I don't know if the cranks were any different, but you might need a different pilot bushing, depending on what it had for a clutch/power shaft in its last application. Might be some other things to chase like different governor springs and the like and some parts to bring over from your tractor motor. By the bye, what is the trouble with it?

Others will have to guide you on what it takes to build an SHTA.

Just completly wore out.The gear on the crank is even wore out, the crank is out of round, the sleeves are wore to the point even a new set of rings wouldn,t seal. The gap in the pistons are wore. Also two of the mounting bolt ears are broken off and one of the others is cracked. So, its a boat anchor.

Thanks Sam, the starter on the stationary is facing the rear end (the gear) and on the tractor isn,t it facing the front? I thought these were just switched end for end. Yes, i am from nova Scotia. Why do you ask?

In order to build a Super H-TA, you have to take the front end of an H and bolt a 300 rear end to it. There are a couple of them running around my area. One guy pulls his every now and then at local tractor pulls. I don't believe that the H and Super H rear ends have the right design to accomidate the torque amplifier unit.

The reason I ask is that can't be an overly common name and I believe we have a mutual friend. Also I don't think I'm that far from you (I'm over Musquodoboit way). Perhaps you'd care to send me an email (I might be able to help you out some in the way of that Super C). If everythings working you should see a send email button on this reply if it doesn't work just post back and I'll try something else. Sam

Hi Sam, you are pretty close. Did we talk before? If you can help me in some way with that c ( soon to be boat anchor ) it would be greatly appreciated. Just email me at my home email which should be connected to this forum

Is Musquodoboit like Pubnico, where ya got a lower, an upper, a middle and an east and west of each so that you have to go to a different dentist dependin' on which tooth ya need pulled?

You've pretty well got it, with Musquodoboit there's a Harbour, Middle, and Upper. Don't know of any others but I've not been around here overlong. Sam
