BINGO!

That is indeed the planter I have.....many thanks for the picture. I bought another one, but could not go after it last spring and after inquiring.....the man never answered me.....I assume he resold it or junked it.

As one gentleman stated previously.....the fertilizer distributor mounts on the tractor? I never knew that! I have another old farmall/mccormick 2 row planter that is very similar to this A 201.....except it is some bigger and had fertilizer cans on it. I would bet it was made to use with an H.....although anything that pick it up.....could use it. I doubt I will ever live long enough to get around to restoring it..and I plan on living another 35-40 years or so...hehe!

Now, I can start searching for a manual....thanks so much again.

I strolled over to ebay and low and behold....there lay that puppy (A201 manual) for the princely sum of $3.00 (plus $3.50 shipping of course). I hit the buy it now button and it should get here in a few days.

Damn.....I love it when a plan comes together!

Thanks again.

Mark, I am glad I could Help. I use mine to plant corn,Pumpkins ( In hills ) and Bush beans either in hills or solid rows. My Cub has a 1 point fast hitch, so I modified my planter to fit the hitch. On a Cub you have to widen the wheel base to use the planter but I don't know about the A.
