350 transmission sticking

There are two possible answers.
If it seems to happen when going up a slight hill, or pulling something and then pushing the clutch in, then having the shifter stick act like it will not move. The answer is a TA system adjustment. (It needs to be by the book, and not seat of pants) Do it before operating it. Things are wearing out from misadjustment, then it gets spendy.
If it has a situation in which the shifter seems to come out of the slot, but it is still in gear, it needs the shifter tip rebuilt. There are pictures, and how to steps in the Search for Box. Put in Farmall shifter lever fix. JimN

Just drive it up an incline, push clutch and tractor should roll back freely, if it doesn't you need to adjust ta, even if ta does not work in low range, the over running clutch will hold some times unless it has been physically removed, which I have done.

By TA being "out", I assume you mean it slips when in low. Try pulling the TA lever back when you have trouble shifting.
