Antique wheels for M

I have a set of antique Farmall M wheels that I would like to know the value of. I can"t seem to find anyone who knows anything about them. Please let me know if anyone can help. I have pics. located in Omaha
 
Are they cut off spokes, all steel, or? In general wheels for an M are very common and due to shipping costs won't sell for a high price. Posting pictures if they are something other than standard would help.
 
As bshannon says, they are common. 298000 M's built, nearly 600000 rear wheels + about 180000 of the same wheels on the Super M/MTA, if that's what you mean. If they happen to have lugs (all steel, no tires) they are worth more than the ones that accepted tires, IF you can find someone who wants them.
 
I'll ad to the thinking:

Look at the Tractor Photos at the left. put Farmall M in the search for box. Look to see if you can find the wheels you have. There are four main possibilities.
1 There could be rubber tires on rims with a cast iron center.
2 The common cast iron wheels alone with no rims.
3 A set of steel wheels with steel flat rims and lugs sticking out (these have flat steel spokes and a center cast hub.
4 a set of the flat steel spoked wheels that have had the steel rim cut off and a rubber tire rim welded on.
#1= scrap price for the weight unless someone needs them locally
#2= same as #1 but easier to move
#3= possible 300 to 500 (guess) if someone needed them locally, or some less if they had to be shipped.
#4= Some interest, but it was a farmer adaptation to put rubber on a (usually) war time tractor. Maybe 250 locally.

Those are valuable to someone who wants steel wheels. They were made for culitvating crops in narrow rows. We had the identical wheels for an H, same as yours except the hubs had smaller holes for an axle. We used the steel wheels for cultivation rather than 9 or 10 inch tires because of less compaction, switched to rubber for tillage. Don't give those away, and disregard my previous comments. I don't think there are many of those around.
 
I don't think the cast piece is different from that used on the rubber tired wheels. We moved both the rubber tired and steel ones in and out often, and I don't remember any difference. Some of the steel wheels had a different type of clamp, I don't think those did, BUT, I never tried to interchange them.
 
I'll retract my statement about the clamps -- there is more than one depending on serial number, and the parts book shows that the rubber tire clamps and steel apparantly are different.
 
I am curious to what they are worth approx. Do you know? I have a couple of people who are very interested in them and I don't know what to price them for. Thanks in Advance
 
$200, clamps will cost you 50-100 each, I have bought several sets of that style for $250-300 complete. If they were the wider style yes I can see more money, my 2 cents.
 
Since you have bought several sets you should know. As you say most are the wider or tillage version. But, those pictures are the ONLY ones I have seen of that type of lug (dual lug in one piece) on the narrow wheels since my Dad sold our H in the late 60's -- so in my opinion the narrow set should bring more money as there are "fewer" of them -- but I'm not the expert. They would have been more common in vegetable areas, such as south Texas, Florida, and California, among others. I will say, I was always glad to see those things taken off the tractor each year and the rubber put back on!
