PTO seasonal disconnect

My 400 does not have this feature. I have a spare T/A bottom panel that has the lever. Is it as simply as changing the panel, or is there a slip collar on the shaft that also would need to be changed?
Thank you
Steve

The tractor would need to be split to make the change. There is a coupling held on with a roll pin on PTO drive shaft in the clutch housing, and the other end of this coupling attaches to the shaft in the trans housing. You would need to replace the existing coupling with one that has the groove that accepts the seasonal disconnect lever.

The following diagrams from caseih.com describes the components that are different. It looks to require the removal of the Assembly as part of the install. JimN

Thank you, I did not want to drain the fluids and then remove the panel to find out that it did not have the same coupling required for the disconnect.
