Farmall super m 3pth

I have posted this on another forum but hopefully betweent the two I can manage. :)

I have aquired a farmall super m with the pto and hydraulics. Have heard of the 3pth to go on. Were these aftermarket or fatory optional. If some one has the m I was wondering if they might be able to post a picture so I have an idea of what the arrangment was. Would it be hard to get one or hard to make one. Steel is not a problem and I can weld- not the best but it holds. If I go this route would somebody be kind enough to post exact measurments as they are not to common in this area. I am in Southern Ontario.

lisle, try saginaw county tractor parts. they build a dandy 3 point hitch, bolts right on, for about 700 dollars. i have one on my m, works great, well built too. here is the link

I have made 3 for Farmalls and one for a John Deere. Cost about $300 including one cylinder. I use them a lot and only had a few problems with fatigue metal. The arms have to be extra long if using an overrunning clutch on the PTO. It took one full day of welding and another for painting and mounting. The freight on the purchased ones increase the price by 1.5
 
Thanks for the replys. I gues I should have mentioned that I didnt really want to buy due to the costs. That is the reason I am looking for ides to make one. Thanks agian and please keep the replys coming

if you go to pics and type in dansuper27 he has pic of his m 3point that he made. and I am in the process of making one for mine with 2 cylinders and all parts made in the shop.
