Had a friend paint a tractor for me, and after painting, he buffed it. Now it needs to be waxed be bring the shine back, but I have a question. Should I put the decals on before I wax it or after?? Thanks in advance for your answer(s).

Buff/polish it out and get it shiny to your satisfaction. Then, go to an automotive paint supply store and get some wax/grease remover. Apply it to the area where the decals are going.
If you have a pal with a paint & body shop he may sell you some so that you don't have to buy a whole gallon at at paint store. Good luck.

Always clean under where decals are going to go with wax and grease remover before you put the decals on or they might not adhere right. So you might want to wax it and take it off but don"t leave it on.

I grew up having a dad that had his own body shop. He always told me never to wax over a fresh paint job for at least 30 days or the paint may lift, but that was 25 years ago maybe things have changed.
