Rear Axle Felt Washer

I am replacing the oil seal on the rear axle of my 1939 M. Tried to order Part #45085D (Rear Axle Felt Washer) but was unable to cross ref it at NAPA. No problem on the seal itself. Any suggestions. Thanks. Harley

Try your local Case/IH dealer. I think the felt seals come with the oil seal as a kit. David

I cut my own from an old wool coat. Felt is wool.

As gordo says make it. I have used felt cut from craft felt in multiple layers. Not to bad with a bottle just right and a breakoff blade utility knife. JimN

Thanks for the suggestions. The one in there does not look bad, however, I just wanted to replace them while I had the wheel off. I will try my luck at cutting one. Harley
