1952 IH 1-ton on sealed bid municipal sale

I was wondering if anyone had any idea what this might be worth, if you read the ad at the link below it says it was stored in the city shop for years and after some minor maintentence they got it out and drove it. I know noone can give a good value without much more info but I'd be open to even just a huge ballpark guess. And...if anyone had any info on this year/type truck I'd like to know too. Thanks!

....I've been looking to sneak up on something like this for a long time. Don't let too many people know about it.

Oh. Too late.

I've bid on a few of these L 130's. You can usually start at $500.00 and go up depending upon the condition, body condition, cab appearance, tires condition, and if the brakes work or need reworking. Any positives just keep adding to the $500. This truck may also have a hoist, another positive...Darald

It won't make any difference on a truck this old, but IH trucks used to get registered as the year they were sold, not when they were built. As to what to offer, it depends on your own finance and storage situation. Let's face it, they are indeed rare, and with the down economy not likely to buy much cheaper. If you can store it properly and take it out several times a year I would offer a fair price, lots more than the 500. I would say 5 times that. DOUG

I would estimate about $2000. The flat bed is worth about $1000 if you built it yourself. I bought a R190 last year for $750, built the bed and painted it. I now have about $2000 in it. Because of it's size it is not as desirable as the one in the add.
