How many 766 Gas tractors!

My dad has owned a IH 766 Gas NF. We have used it many years around the farm. We recently have been looking at them and we have noticed that they are ALOT of diesels. Does anyone know how many were made with the gas? It is truely a nice tractor and can really pull what you want it to. Any and all help is needed. Thanks alot! Have a great day.
 
Dont know how many. We bought a diesel one in 1974. All in all, not real pleased with it. The engine threw craps after about 400 hours. The steering was an engineering mess. The Cab rattled and clanked. Looking back we should have bought the John Deere. About that time IH was living on it's reptation and was making crappy tractors. Talking about the 66 series only. I am IH through and through, but just trying to be honest here.

Try external_link as a referance (SP) site it is great. Tells what years tractors were made liquid capacities, Horses , where built and other things.
 
There is one that has been sitting in a machine shed now for 10 years or more,it's just across the field from me. A 766 gas ,narrow front,standard drawbar and ordered without TA. I believe the old fella passed in 98 and the widow hasn't decided what to do with the farm equipment yet.
