me and a friend just bought a f-12 farmall can any one tell me where to find the s/n so i can date it so to put right color on please.

Tag is on the fuel tank support right behind the motor

engine serial is on the manifold side towards the front

thank you didn't see a tag but will relook will motor s/n tell me about the year also

Yes, motor would be the same number or at least close unless of course if it has been changed.

It will be on a flat surface, just in front of the fuel pump, assuming it has the IH engine, and not the Waukesha.
