Farmall C engine temporary lock up

I tried to start my Farmall C up this morning and she wouldn"t turn over and I checked, there was enough juice. I put the hand crank on, broke it loose and now the starter motor turns it over. This never happened before, any idead what"s going on?

Likely the starter drive got jammed on the flywheel ring gear. Might be getting worn.

Take the starter off and shin a light in on the ring gear. If it has worn or missing teeth, you probably found the problem.

happened all the time on my 450 till I fixed the starter Bendix

SDPI,Be careful braking a starter loose with a crank,I broke a starter drive on a F14 this way,However it sounds like you need a drive any way

Well she's back to normal without any indication of wear on either the starter or the flywheel. Not sure what happened. Thanks for the advice gents.
