New Oil Pressure Gauge

So I bought a new set of IH gauges for my '48 H. Temperature gauge was straight forward, amp gauge was just as easy. However, the replacement oil pressure gauge has a male fitting instead of a female, like the old one. What do I need to adapt it?

Take your tubing and the gauge down to your NAPA store and they will have an adapter to fix you up. Unless there is one on the old gauge? You might have the wrong gauge but without seeing it I can't tell exactly what you do have. 1/8 pipe male is used on the older F series and like the A & B where the gauge fits directly to the filter housing.

fitting on the back of new one, is identical in size/threads of the fitting on the end of the oil line for the old one.

You need to get a brass coupling probably 1/8 pipe
it will have female threads on both ends and the old fitting will thread into the coupling. Hal

Here's what that brass coupling looks like. Home Depot even have them. Hal
