Farmall Super C craps out

my 1953 C will pull 75% of its weight at a Pull, but with marker or mower attached, or just driving down the road for twenty minutes nearly stalls. Temp guage doesn't show overheating. Any ideas?

A plugged up fuel cap vent does exactly that. So does a coil getting bad. If the coil is as hot as a skillet when it happens replace it. Check fuel flow (as pointed out) but when it does it, not from a start. JimN

Check the fuel flow at the carb. If you have a in-line fuel filter, take it off. Also see if the coil is hot after running, that could also be the problem. If it is hot, buy a new coil.

Take the fuel line off at the carb. You'll find a fine mesh screen that fits inside the carb. Break this off and throw it away, it's probably plugged up. Then, put an IN LINE filter in the fuel line. It sure sloved my Super C problem....Cmore
