966 torq amplifier

have low hour 966 that has been parked for about 4 months,ta was working perfect but went to get it out and free wheels in high or low,power steering,brakes and everything else is fine including fluid and filter how did this happen setting still? any help on what to do

Is the transmission light on? If it is check and see if the dump valve is stuck open. The TA regulator valve may be stuck open. The TA is downstream from the power steering and brakes so they have priority.If the pump is weak or there is an internal leak the lube circuit and TA would be the first to be starved for oil. Depending on your location if it is below freezing there may be ice in the system that is holding the valves open.

If you are sure everything is adjusted properly and getting enough hydraullic pressure it may be a problem in you primary clutch slipping or the sprag is failing in the t/a
