i was wondering if you flip the rack and pinion in an H trans would that cause the pto to run in reversed direction also? thanks for the input, wegman in mn.

Ummmm......a couple things:
1 - There's no "rack" gear inside an H transmission (nor in any other transmission for that matter).
2 - There are no gears that can be swapped in an H transmission to reverse the direction of the PTO.

You've perhaps heard about "reverse operation" by flipping the tranny ring gear? This gives the tractor 1 speed forward and 5 speeds reverse. However the PTO will STILL rotate the normal direction.
