Has anyone ever used glow plugs from IND USA Distributing? I'm a big believer in CIH parts but a guy put some in his 706 and showed me the plugs side by side, the numbers match exactly. There web site claims they are a OEM manufacturer. They are half the price of the dealer part. Sounds to good to be true? Here is their website:http://indusadist.com/index.html

And just where do you think Case I H gets it's parts from . Just like buying engine kits from them they get them from Clevit , Seal Power and who ever turns in the low bit for that run , now they will have the correct I H part # on the part and thru Case I H you can get parts that are not available thru any other jobber but Case I H did not make the part.Even when the tractor was new the electrical system came from Delco Now the dist. was a IH part . So yes glow plugs can be bouth from and outside sources at less money as your doing away with the middle man . Same way you can buy engine parts for less and get the same part but with out the I H part # on the casting #'s will match. But no I H part # and i myself can live with out that # for half the price.

They sell glow plugs made by the British company - Wellman (WAP). And yes, Wellman does supply some plugs OEM to some companies including the US Army for GM powered Humvees. From what I've experienced with them, they are crap when compared to plugs made by other companies e.g. Beru or Bosch in Germany.

You're going to pay 1/2 or less if you buy direct with any part. IH doesn't make the stuff, and . . . it they are using Wellmans they are using the cheap junk. I know Deere Company is using glow plugs supplied by the Chinese May Company.

Give me a part # and I can probably cross it over to a better plug, if somebody makes one.
