generic tie rods

I have a wide front I would like to put on my H. the tie rods and steering arms are gone. Were might be the best place to find resonable generic tie rods?

You didn't say what brand of wide front you have.....
If it is a Schwartz front, you can probably still get them from Schwartz.

I am not worried about brand as I will make new arms for the spindles and a new center piece. just looking for a resonable pair to be able to use this front.

In that case, I have heard of guys using 8N Ford Tractor tie rod ends. I believe there are aftermarket ones that are not too expensive. Hope this helps. mike

A&I has tie rods. Dealers are on this site or go to www.batescorp.com. Local people can probably beat their price.

If yours are going to use the rubber bellows/grease retainers make sure they are UV resistant. I replaced one on my 74 MF 165 three years ago. The replacement rubber is totally shot while the original on the other side is fine.

If it is a Schwartz or Speeco, we can get any part you might need. If an original IH, parts are somewhat limited, but can still be found.
