MF65 gas uage vs MD ??

i posted this in the massy section but was woundering if anyone else here might a
have a suggestion...we have an inrragation pump that we have been runing our md on and this year we want to run a secound pump and all i have found so far is a MF65.. the MD goes through about 1 tank every 18 hours, can't make it to 20, easy to restart though. hehehe any ideas on the 65 any one with close experience? just idea all day with pto on. the 65 is rated a litter over the MD so it should be a lighter load on it. (in theory)

Being a gas tractor, I"m sure it will use more fuel than the MD.

jmayer: Maybe there is test results on the MF65 at the Nebraska tractor test lab also? The MD test should be there, so test results showing fuel per HP might be a starting point. The MD made real good power per gallon so.. ag

On a gas tractor the more it is loaded toward 80 to 90% of rated HP the better the economy. (not true as much of a diesel) Why not find a UD6 to pump with? THey should be available. JimN
