3-Wheeled Shop Mule Research

Hi, I'm beginning to to do research on an IH/Hebard model A-3 Shop Mule. What I do know about it, is that it has the Farmall A/B drive train, but unlike the usual mules I've seen, this one has a single front wheel and all three wheels are "hard" rubber wheels. Any history, pictures, any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Rob Bush

Rob,

Do you have one, or a picture of one, or what? I have never heard of a three wheel Hebard Shop Mule.

I would like to see a picture as well. I have heard of, but never seen, something similar that I think may have been F-12 powered. (I hate to even mention that because I haven't followed up on it at all.)

Harold,

I saw a picture of one a while back and thought it was intersting. I'd like to learn more about the Hebard Mules. Thanks, Rob

I have some photo copies of some pages from a Hebard Manual or maybe a brochure. It shows a picture of the A3 Victory shop mule on the cover and also another page has a picture of the A3 and shows optional pneumatic tires for that mule. The A14 Victory (which has the H engine) is shown on the same cover with the A3. So I assume these were around the same vintage, which would be WWII I suppose due to the "victory" name. I got these copies with a Shop Mule that I bought years ago and later sold, but kept the photo copies. Never paid much attention to the A3 before. If you want more info, you may be able to get it by sending a request to the Shop Mule Registry, PO Box 331, New Hampton, NY 10958. There is also an E mail address, but I've never had much luck getting though with that, as it seems the mailbox is always full. If you want the Email address, send me an E mail and I will give it to you. Don't like to publish Email addresses in the clear.
