A u-joint at the steering knuckel on my Int. 684 4x4 has gone out. Dealer say's I have to replace axel and u-joint as one unit, cost $1000. Can I not just replace the u-joint

caseih.com shows the spider as a seperate part.
Part diagram # 28 2 (required) 3230277R1 SPIDER ASSY. SPIDER ASSY, w/bearing Thus I think it can be replaced unless the yolks on the two axle components are toast. Spicer, or some other company is sure to make them. JimN
