t/a rebuild

wondered the same thing when I was doing mine. Think the ramp gets worn too much and it won't work at least not for long. Too far in there to take a chance on it. The rollers are harder material than the ramp so it will wear more.

That is how I did mine, but For $125 more you can do the job right and have "piece of mind" that is was done right and will last.

If I were doing it over again, I would replace it.

I presonaly alway use a sprag kit when rebuilding a TA, I have done 100s of them and NEVER replaced one yet(knock on wood) We even put them in turboed 560 pullers, cost more, but you get what you pay for. also the carrier is what normaly wears more than the ramp.

If the rollers are worn so is the ramp. Usually where the rollers ride the ramp has been dished in or chipped. Also as you have been told the carrier will probably need machined. On a standard t/a the carrier should measure 2.858 or higher with a .010 oversized replacement roller and ramp. I do have the replacement parts if you do need them. Feel free to shoot me an email
