I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS TRACTOR MADE IN FRANCE IN THE 50'S. THE HYDRAULIC CONTROLS ARE MISSING. I WOULD LIKE AN OPERATOR'S OR SHOP MANUAL FOR THIS TRACTOR.

If it is a French built model it could have different threads ect. Now a lot of Cs were sent to France that were American built. You need to check the serial plate and maybe some moreplaces to find out where it was built.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I do know that the tractor was made in France in the town of St. Dizier. Some threads are SAE and some seem to be metric. The hydraulic controls had been removed leaving the lines to the pump attached to the timing gear and the hydraulic reservoir over the rear end. I have little chance of finding used parts here in Canada. What I want is a manual which would guide me in attaining after market parts to rebuild hydraulic controls.
Allan it's likely that salvage parts from an American Super C can be used directly, or with only a little modification, especially if all you need are the controls (i.e. the levers on the steering post).
Finding an actual French Super C parts manual in North America... Have you tried looking for hen's teeth lately?

I think his name is JEAN CONTE he posts here some times and lives in France. Maybe someone else will remember his posts and mite know his e-mail. There is fellow in BELGIM that post here also and he has an American C but could help with a French model.
