Charles,

Thanks for the info on the parts 504 in Starkville. It is the hose assy on the left hand side of the pic you provided. The tube portion is leaking on mine. I will call the guy in Starkville tomorrow. Do you remember if the tractor still had a radiator? Thanks for all of your help, it is guys like you that make this site worth logging on to. I replied to my original posting but due to time it on page 6 in the forum. Thanks again.

Joey K, Thank you for the compliment! Most of us here are just guys having a good time out of need or choice. I went to his place the opening weekend of the Natchitchitoches Christmas Festival of Lights, (My wife did not let that go un-noticed).

I saw the parts tractor because I had to do the work myself, he supposedly was under the weather at the time. He had removed the engine and the front half was rolled away from the rear. My father removed the parts of the steering on the front half and I know at that time the radiator was there. I have been watching his EBAY listings and it has not came up. As far as I know he has only sold the injectors and some other engine parts.

As for the hydraulic lines, I was going to buy them to, but had already modified my system for the loader hydraulics. Yes, he had both hoses. One of them was brazed (pretty common repair) but looked good and dry. Give Josh a call 662-549-9165. He was fairly easy to deal with. Just tell him that the guy that got the tires, wheel weights, and steering shafts refered you.

Good luck Joey K, let me know how your phone call goes! He is CST zone.

Joey K, I responded to this thread before reading the last one you posted on. I am in Natchitoches, LA. I drove 400 miles one-way to Starkville, MS. It was worth it for the haul I made! Both tires (13.6x38 on rims, with all wheel clips and bolts, NICE), complete steering shafts and u-joints from steering wheel-to-steering-box (untold value for condition), set of two-piece rear weights with bolts, and all three clutch/brake springs for $650.

Do you know what his username is on ebay so I can maybe contact him through his email or ebay. I called today and left my number he has not responded yet. If he is selling stuff on ebay I could probably get him to remove the hose and ship it to me. I could pay him through paypal and save me a trip to Starkville.

Talked to him tonight and I sent him the picture you posted on your reply the other night. He is going to look at it tomorrow just to make sure we are on the same page. You had mentioned in a reply about swapping email addresses, I would like to do that just to make it a little easier to communicate. I am not sure about posting email on the site, do you have a better suggestion? You had mentioned repairing the assy that I have on the tractor right now. I thought about that myself but I am unsure about just how to do it. The assy I have now has been brazed several times. Could a new tube be welded in? I am not sure how the tube is connected to the block that is bolted to the square plate. I thought if there was enough meat to the block that I could cut off the tube, drill and tap the block to accept a fitting and just go from the block to the lift control tube with one hose and eliminate the tube altogether. Let me know your thoughts and let's figure out how to either swap emails or talk on the phone about this. The more I think about it I had rather figure out another solution rather than depending on 45 year old used parts.
