another fast hitch question

Does a Super C have down pressure on its fast hitch? How common are the the fast hitches on the Super C"s? Thanks goatboy.

Yes the SC, FH has down pressure but you have to install the lift locking pin, in the link swivel so it will push down. Most of the SC's after 1953 I think had the FH but I might be wrong. Ron

the super c fast hitch (and the 200 is the same) has pressure up and down. there is a pin in the vertical lift arm that can be removed for a float position.
fast hitch was an option on the super c. i have seen more super c's with fh than without.

The fast hitch SC was the origin of the square dancing tractors. I believe it was in 1954 when IH displayed the first square dancing tractors at the Iowa State Fair. The implements, a fast hitch plow,fast hitch disc,fast hitch 2 row planter and a fast hitch blade were the partners. When the call was, Grab your partner, these drivers on the four SC's would hook on one of these implements demonstrating how easy hooking and unhooking was.
