Recently got some F-20"s to restore and use for parts. One has a Power Lift, I was wondering if anyone has any info on these, also if anyone knows if they are rare or not. Not wanting to sell it, just find a little bit about it. Thanks for your help.

Oh, not extremely rare. There are a few around. Pretty handy if you want to lift a cultivator. But you can't use the PTO so some guys take them off. Just depends what you want.

I would guess by now because of their weight most of them are scrapped. Those lifts were an option for the cultivator, used in place of the hand lift levers. With the lift came 8 double ended studs that replaced the bolts in the rear end cover. These held the lift on. During hay cutting time we would take off the rear of the cultivator and the lift and chain up the front sections. that left those long studs sticking out, they were tough on the front of your shins when mowing hay. I probably still have scars from them. The pto drive was a pain also as you had to be moving to raise the cultivator. Dad always insisted you cultivate to the end rows, stop, take the tractor out of gear and raise the cultivator.

They are pretty neat when hooked to either a mounted plow, or cultivators. I think (JMHO) a powerlift by itself is kinda silly since it just takes up space, plus makes on/off a little harder.

Most of the ones ive ever run across, werent complete or were frozen up to the point they arent any good any more anyhoo :?
